President’s Project

Fisher House Foundation

American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Arkansas President, Pearl Gordon, has selected the Fisher House Foundation as her President’s Project for 2024-2025. ALA Arkansas Girls State will be raising funds during the weeklong session to donate to the President’s Project.

Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military and veteran families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital. These homes are located at military and VA medical centers around the world. Fisher House is currently under construction at the Little Rock VA location on the campus of the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans’ Hospital.
