The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) units throughout the state of Arkansas are thrilled to announce the upcoming 2027 session of ALA Arkansas Girls State on the campus of Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas from May 30 – June 4. ALA Arkansas Girls State is a vigorous program that is attended by elite students representing all counties in the state of Arkansas. The fundamental mission of the Arkansas Girls State program is championing patriotism, responsible citizenship, community involvement, leadership, and a balance of faith and moral conduct.

During their week at ALA Arkansas Girls State, the delegates will be assigned to a fictional political party, city, and county. They will participate in a mock government platform, hold elections, write and debate legislative bills, and engage in community while hearing from prominent speakers within our state to educate and motivate them in leadership and influence within their own communities.

We are excited to host approximately 450 delegates at ALA Arkansas Girls State this year. However, out of respect for the privacy of these youth, we will not disclose a list of names and schools. We will defer to the American Legion Auxiliary Units to disclose as deemed proper and appropriate on an individual basis.
